Covehurst Bay Holiday Cottages

142 Martineau Ln, Hastings TN35 5DR, UK – 01424 813385

An absolute gem. Country hideaway just 10 minutes' drive from Hastings. The shingle beach is a 20 to 30-minute walk, and you need a fairly good fitness level to do this as the path gets steep (clothing on the beach is optional!) The Country Park and Fire Hills are also about the same distance - a much gentler walk with stunning views. Badger's Den cottage was perfect: great quality mattresses, massive TV with film on demand, and a lovely welcome basket with fruit and fresh flowers. The shared hot tub and pool are kept spotless and always warm, but not super busy as it's only 3 cottages sharing the facilities. There's also a weights gym which was great for my partner. We loved the garden and all the flowers. So much effort goes into keeping this place five-star and it really shows. Thank you for a wonderful break!

We have returned from 2 weeks in Swallows Nest Cottage and we've had a brilliant holiday. Family of 4 extremely comfortable in the cottage, everything thought of and more, hosts were ever so helpful and friendly. Great place to explore and excellent walks from the doorstep, highly recommend accommodation for an excellent holiday.

Mouse House Hastings

92 All Saints' St, Hastings TN34 3BE, UK – 01737 371446

Wonderful property in the old town. It's a hidden gem. Beautiful property inside and out with everything you could possibly want

Had a great stay, house is perfect, definitely would recommend

Whyte Cottage

4 Abbotsfield Cl, Hastings TN34 2DT, UK – 020 3320 2609

Absolutely wonderful hosts who could not do enough but left us alone the whole week unless we needed anything, which we didn't thankfully. Comfortable and highly recommended. There are several interesting places both in Hastings and around eg the cliff railways, the shipwreck museum, the sailors museum, Herstmonceux Castle and others. It was a shame that the pier had been sold and not open, shame on Hastings council for letting that happen!

Excellent cottage for short and long term breaks. Stayed here in March and we were warm and cosy. The cottage is well appointed with all you need for a comfortable and relaxed stay. It's located in a residential area of Hastings with shops a short drive out bus ride away. Highly recommended.

Cottages.com used to be called Cottages4You. It was one the first and one of the biggest of the Holiday Cottage Rental websites. They have over 14,000 properties - and so should have one near where you where you would like to go - not only anywhere in the UK but they have lots of overseas properties as well.

The website is really fast and simple to use. I fact it is close to a no-nonsense approach! It does what it says on the tin.  Good hunting.

Well worth a look. The properties are well presented - each with a property manager. I did see that they don't have their telephone number under their photo!

Definately a slick and believable website. Enjoy!

ToadHall.jpg
Toad Hall Cottages are also very well established and specialise in the South West. They do Pet Friendly Cottages which can be a bonus for lots of families. They also to 'big' and 'luxury' if that is your bag. Go with a crowd - some of the best holidays are with friends!

Stunning Ancient Devon Longhouse with B & B

Milton Abbot A wonderful 17th Century farmhouse set in the heart of the Devon countryside near the historic and beautiful town of Tavistock on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Great walks in private wood...
If you have to have sun - or atleast more sun - you might like to have a look at the villas below. Some will be lovely in the spring in autumn when we are rather winding down in the UK - to say the least!
JamesVillasLogo.jpg
James Villas as the name suggested just do 'Abroad'. They were one of the first big ones. If you are interested in Europe, North Africa or Florida give them a click. Huge choice and flashy site. Enjoy!
