Royal Victoria Hotel

Marina, St Leonards, Hastings TN38 0BD, UK – 01424 445544

This is the 2nd time we have been to this hotel , for afternoon tea and today for an early dinner with 2 of my granddaughters , my son and his partner. Each time the staff have been very helpful and patient while we waited for my disabled husband. The 1st time we went there we booked a suite for our wedding anniversary in August. Today we asked if our suite could be all on one level as my husband is not good with stairs. This was done quickly and efficiently . This is a lovely hotel

Unfortunately our visit was for a sad occasion, after a funeral of a dear friend! But the staff were lovely and food delicious. I've never experienced such a beautiful hotel!

Alexander's Hotel Hastings

2 Carlisle Parade, Hastings TN34 1JG, UK – 01424 717329

Stayed at Alexander's for two days in April 2018 with my sister and children. We had two rooms with sea views. The standard of cleanliness, service and food was exceptional. Although the hotel was undertaking renovations the place was immaculate and the location was amazing. Would happily recommend and would certainly stay there again.

I and my wife just spent two night's at Alexander's . We had a most enjoyable stay. The room was nice and clean, Vanessa the manageress was very polite and professional. I recommend this hotel to all you people. 10 out of 10. Posted by Joe Tsangarides.

Premier Inn Hastings

1 John Macadam Way, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN37 7DB, UK – 0871 527 8496

We loved our stay here. In a very convenient place, lots of spaces for free parking whilst we were there. The rooms were fantastic and the staff are really nice.

I have stayed here several times and the reception staff are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities and also a hairdryer with a generous cord. Just a couple of niggles - first one is the lack of heating control in the room. And the other one would be the carpark spacings are pretty tight. The restaurant is carefully situated on the 1st floor . Also for anybody looking for a quick chocolate and crisp snack, there is a snack machine @ the reception entrance. offers competitive rates for any type of hotel, from small independent hotels to a five star luxury ones. The site is available in 24 languages and offers over 71000 hotels in 71 countries. Could be useful for you. There are of course several such sites.

Glorious old inn with an amazing location. Sun trap out front. Well run. Games available. Check serving times for popular food here.

The Crown

64-66 All Saints' St, Hastings TN34 3BN, UK – 01424 465100

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a warm welcome. Delicious food accompanied by some great drinks. The place was very popular and I can see why but despite this we were served pretty quickly and a table was free before we knew it. Not too much wait for the food to arrive with very polite and friendly service. Would certainly recommend a visit!

Turn up and wait for table, no booking taken unless party is 8 or more. Worth the wait good service very nice food.

The Harrow

828 The Ridge, Hastings TN37 7PX, UK – 01424 756893

I thought this place was absolutely freaking fantastic! I loved it and would definitely go again xxx

Nice pub with a bit of character. Lounge bar with seperate restaurant but could do with a bigger variety of lagers.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Covehurst Bay Holiday Cottages

142 Martineau Ln, Hastings TN35 5DR, UK – 01424 813385

An absolute gem. Country hideaway just 10 minutes' drive from Hastings. The shingle beach is a 20 to 30-minute walk, and you need a fairly good fitness level to do this as the path gets steep (clothing on the beach is optional!) The Country Park and Fire Hills are also about the same distance - a much gentler walk with stunning views. Badger's Den cottage was perfect: great quality mattresses, massive TV with film on demand, and a lovely welcome basket with fruit and fresh flowers. The shared hot tub and pool are kept spotless and always warm, but not super busy as it's only 3 cottages sharing the facilities. There's also a weights gym which was great for my partner. We loved the garden and all the flowers. So much effort goes into keeping this place five-star and it really shows. Thank you for a wonderful break!

We have returned from 2 weeks in Swallows Nest Cottage and we've had a brilliant holiday. Family of 4 extremely comfortable in the cottage, everything thought of and more, hosts were ever so helpful and friendly. Great place to explore and excellent walks from the doorstep, highly recommend accommodation for an excellent holiday.

Mouse House Hastings

92 All Saints' St, Hastings TN34 3BE, UK – 01737 371446

Wonderful property in the old town. It's a hidden gem. Beautiful property inside and out with everything you could possibly want

Had a great stay, house is perfect, definitely would recommend

Rocklands Holiday Park

Rocklands Lane, Hastings TN35 5DY, UK – 01424 423097

We have stayed in an apartment at Rocklands before this visit, and we fully intend to do so again before long. This is unusual for us, so it is testament to our satisfaction with the place. We love the apartment itself (which provides everything that a reasonable person could require), the location, the tranquility of the setting, the town (with all its quirks), the nearby country park, the area, the ease of travelling around to nearby places of interest, and the badgers and foxes which entertained us every evening. We enjoyed walking down to the fishing area in the morning to buy food for that night's tea, but there are plenty of options locally for those who prefer not to self-cater. Another important aspect of Rocklands is the approach of the owners, who are always available if required but never intrusive. For us the absence of children and dogs was an added bonus. We cannot find fault with Rocklands or the Guilliard family themselves. Yes, we'll be back!

We have stayed at Rocklands on a yearly basis now. Apartments clean and well appointed, always made to feel welcome by Joan and everyone on site. Lovely views, badgers and foxes included. Don't want to make it sound too perfect else there will be no room for us. Thank you Joan. Stewart and Julia x

9 Warrior Square, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN37 6BA, UK – 01424 422709

Loved our stay here ! A stylish boutique hotel in the center of Hastings, excellent service and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of the sea and the beds were super comfy. Amazing breakfast and generous welcome drink, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you again.

First of all, very professional, nice, polite and helpful staff and adorable dogs. With an arrival drink you will feel really welcomed and relaxed. Very good home cooked breakfast, served perfectly. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, stylish and with good wi-fi. Great location, safe parking, sea is right next to the hotel, so are a few restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommended.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Campsites and Caravan Parks

Hastings Touring Park

Barley Ln, Hastings TN35 5NT, UK – 01424 452782

Can't wait to go back there!!

Soo muddy this time of year 😃

Shearbarn Holiday Park

Barley Ln, Hastings TN35 5DX, UK – 01424 423583

Great huge caravan park. But there are a few issues.. Toilets in toilet block difficult to flush, no constant running water in the shower but it's nice & hot, mouldy shower curtains, rusty shower contents holder, nowhere to sit or put your stuff except for a hook on the back of the door. On a positive note good club house serves great food and the swimming pool is popular for children. Nice 10mins walk into town. Good roomy pitches. Water and electric hook up. Log cabin accommodations look great.

A lovely site quite large too with 2 toilet / shower blocks. Pitches are well spaced. Just 2 minutes from the touring part is the onsite bar / restaurant. The staff are lovely there and the food is very enjoyable. 10 out of 10.

Spindlewood Country Holiday Park

Rock Lane, Ore, Hastings TN35 4JN, UK – 01424 720825

We stay at Spindlewood. Very peaceful. The owners are always on hand. Everybody knows everybody. Nothing like the normal parks. Great fishing lake my boy loves it. Always catches something.....

A Very well kept sité also very friendly club good good play ground for young kids close to Fairlight so walks are good not to far from beach 2 miles also the town all good here
